NABARD conducts one day financial literacy awareness program at GDC Khan Sahib

NABARD Conducted a one day Financial Literacy Camp (FLAP) at Degree College Khansahib Budgam. DDM NABARD, LDM Budgam, FLCC Budgam, Representative from EDI, branch heads of J&K Bank, District Coordinator EDB Budgam attended the camp.A detailed address was made by DDM NABARD about the workshop. He discussed about the role of NABARD in rural development and various schemes which will benefit the rural population. A brief discussion was also held on the benefits of Banking system and need of Banking for students. He stressed on the students to have knowledge about banking system.A discussion on education loan and interest subsidy for those families whose income is less than 4.5 lakh per Year was also held.DDM NABARD and FLCC Budgam gave information on the various Social Security Schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Surakhsha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantra Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
