Progress on Bhagwah-Lal Draman Defence road reviewed

Deputy commissioner Doda Bhupinder Kumar today held a meeting of concerned officers of Revenue , Forest, Horticulture, Agriculture department and Beadcon to review the progress on Bhagwah-Lal Draman road project.The Bhagwah-Lal Draman, Masala –Dashnan defence road with total length of 53.05 km will provide all weather road connectivity to Bhagwah, Dewal, Kanhal, Torwas, Bajarni, Mruwal, Masala, Sazaan, Lal-Draman, Udri, Salaga, Oriyal, Gowari and Dashnan villages of District Doda besides it will serve an alternate route for Bharat area of District.Deliberations were held on issues pertaining to Joint survey on a patch of 7.5 km Masala to Dashnan road, identification of patches of land for dumping sites, establishment of detachments decks for beacon and for installation of machinery, Forest and other clearances and pending land acquisition cases.
Stressing on meeting the timelines Divisional Forest Officer Doda Abhijeet Joshi and lieutenant 52 RCC were directed to take up the matter of approval of 8m road width of the project as approved in District Development Board meeting 2015 from Principal Chief conservator of forest and Forest advisory committee within a week’s time.31st October 2015 was fixed as the joint inspection day for Masala to Dashnan patch of the project and the revenue, Horticulture, Forest and Beacon officers present in the meeting were directed to coordinate with Tehsildar Doda and Bhagwah for joint inspection. DC directed Tehsildar Doda and Bhagwah to submit the Revenue papers of the said project by 15 November.Beacon authorities were impressed upon to identify the land preferably state land for the establishment of detachments decks, Crashers and dumping sites so that the vital project is completed expeditiously without any hiccups. Further the progress on the Bhaderwah- Bani-Basohli road including its macadamization work was also reviewed in the meeting.
