Peace and Harmony to be maintained at all cost-Bikram Singh Majithia

Punjabis all over the state understand the nefarious designs of anti-national elements

hiromani Akali Dal General Secretary and Punjab Revenue Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia today asserted that peace and communal harmony will be maintained at all cost by the state besides foiling nefarious designs of anti-national elements.Interacting with media persons after paying obeisance at Gurdwara Gurusar Brar, where a joint prayer of entire district was being observed, S. Majithia accompanied by SAD Rural President S. Veer Singh Lopoke, SAD senior leaders namely S. Gulzar Singh Ranike, S. Amarpal Singh Boni Ajnala, S. Baljit Singh Jalal Usma, S. Raj Mohinder Singh Majitha termed the desecration incidents as 'very unfortunate' and 'heinous'. He said that the perpetrators behind this whole episode have a sole purpose to stall the ongoing progress and development in the state.Majithia that the Bargari incident was a result of a conspiracy hatched to put Punjab into black days, which will not be tolerated and government was committed to expose the anti-social elements behind peace disruptive exercise. He also said that Punjabi fraternity has understood the anti-peace activities of inimical forces across the state.  

Extending an appeal to political parties not to play politics over this sensitive issue, S. Majithia said in interests of Punjab we all should come forward and stay unite to thwart the nefarious designs of inimical forces. He said that political parties should not politicise the issue for scoring political goals.Referring to a query regarding fake and baseless messages being sent through social media, S. Majithia said the Central agencies have taken serious note of this and legal action will be initiated against rumour mongers. He said that majority of such fake messages were being sent from foreign shores as anti-Punjab forces within and outside the country were hell-bent to disturb the peace and harmony in the state.Reiterating the commitment of Punjab Government to maintain conducive, congenial environment and communal concord, SAD General Secretary said also gave a call to all sections of society to come forward against the perpetrators of such heinous crimes. Thousands of people gathered here from across the district to take part in the bhog ceremony as repentance over the desecration incidents, they all did penance for gravest crime against humanity committed by anti national forces and vowed before the Almighty to carry forward the message of universal brotherhood and harmony as taught by our Sikh gurus and Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
