Parkash Singh Badal Prays For Peace, Brotherhood And Amity In The State

Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib and offered prayers for peace, communal harmony, brotherhood and amity in the state. The Chief Minister accompanied by Cabinet Minister Dr. Daljeet Singh Cheema reached Sri Darbar Sahib in morning today and offered his prayers for the sake of peace, harmony and tranquility in the state. On the occasion, Mr. Badal was offered a siropa at the sanctum sanctorum. He later visited Sri Akal Takht Sahib and paid reverence at the highest temporal seat of the Sikhs.Interacting with the media persons on the sidelines of his visit, the Chief Minister said that he had always prayed for the peace, progress and brotherhood in the state and prosperity of its people. He said that today’s visit was also a part of his faith in this highly revered place of the Sikhs, from where each one of them derive divine peace and power. Mr. Badal said that he had always been a votary of peace and brotherhood in the state and would continue to endeavor for it throughout his life. 

Replying to another query, the Chief Minister said that some forces inimical to the progress of state were hell bent upon destroying the hard earned peace of the state. However, he said that the state government was committed to thwart any such attempt, which could pose a danger to the progress and prosperity of the state. “These forces will be exposed before the people so that they are not able to succeed in their nefarious designs against the state” added Mr. Badal. 

The Chief Minister called upon the people of the state to rise above the parochial considerations of caste, religion and creed to give a befitting reply to the fissiparous forces active in the state. Reiterating that Punjabis have always upheld the ethos of peace and brotherhood in the state, he hoped that no one would be ever able to destroy the deep knitted social fabric of the state. Mr. Badal urged the people to extend fulsome support and cooperation to government by not falling prey to the malicious campaign unleashed by the divisive forces.
