DC Anantnag holds public darbar at Dooru

The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag today held Pubic Darbar with the locals of the Dooru Constituency for the on-spot redressal of public grievances.The Public Darbar was held at four places of Nowgam, Verinag, Dooru and Mehmoodabad.The Public Darbar was attended by ADC Anantnag, SDM Dooru, Chief Education Officer, XENs of R&B, PDD, PMGSY, PHE, I&FC and officers of various departments besides concerned Tehsildars, BDOs and officers of CAPD department.While replying to the grievances of the people regarding issues pertaining to various departments, the DC directed the concerned officers to redress the pending issues in a time bound manner so that people of the area do not suffer during the coming winter.

The Deputy Commissioner directed SDM Dooru to ensure that all the public grievances are settled well in time and those issues where the intervention of the DC is required, same should be communicated expeditiously.Besides, the officers of CAPD were directed to make sure that ration distribution is done well in time every month and new ration cards are provided to families based on the Census-2011.Regarding the issue of road connectivity among different far flung villages, the Deputy Commissioner directed the engineers of R&B and PMGSY to utilize their available men and machinery for speeding up the pace of taken up works so that these are completed well in time.The DC directed Exen PHE to speed up construction work of all the sanctioned water supply schemes of the area for which funds have already been released.
