DLRC meeting reviews progress under ACP 2015-16 for Kupwara

Development Commissioner, Kupwara today chaired a DLRC/DCC meeting to review the progress achieved under ACP 2015-16 by the financial institutions and various schemes implementing agencies unto ending June 2015.The meeting was convened by the Lead district manager, Kupwara to discuss the various issues relating to implementation of various schemes for eradication of poverty and unemployment in the district.The Additional District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, LDO, RBI, DDM, NABARD, Cluster Head JKB, District Coordinators of financial institutions and sponsoring agencies were present in the meeting.

The Lead District Manager, Kupwara informed the meeting that under District Action Credit Plan 2015-16, an amount of Rs. 108.76 crores have been released among the 6462 beneficiaries of the district through financial institutions up to June 2015. This also includes Rs. 95.59 crore to 5839 beneficiaries under priority sector and Rs.13.19 crore among 623 beneficiaries for establishing the income generating unit in the district.Speaking on the occasion the District Development commissioner, Kupwara advised all the banks and the sponsoring agencies to work with co-operation and co-ordination to achieve the goals and targets of development progress. He directed the sponsoring agencies and bankers to conduct awareness programmes at village, block level to generate proper awareness among the common people and ensure speedy credlt dispensation so that the targets fixed under the various segments under DCP are achieved.

He also advised the banks and departments to ensure to bring most of the population under the ambit of recently launched social security schemes like PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY.The Director, RSETI associated with JKB informed the meeting that 63 candidates are under training in various skills and 18 candidates have established their ventures by the financial assistance of the financial institutions. He informed the meeting that under PMEGP scheme bee keeping with duration of six days has been carried by the RSETI. Land for the construction of institution has been identified for the training institute for RSETI.
