Rs 28.04 lakh relief disbursed among rain affected in Leh: Syed Basharat Bukhari

Minster for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Bukhari while replying to the calling attention notice by Ghulam Nabi Monga informed that out of Rs 20 crore an amount of Rs 28.04 lakh has been provided by Deputy Commissioner, Leh as relief for 162 sufferers whose houses were damaged and livestock lost due to the heavy rains.

He further informed the House that the inter-departmental verification teams have been constituted by the Deputy Commissioner Leh to verify the losses suffered by the affectees and relief as per SDRF norms has been sanctioned accordingly.Mr. Bukhari apprised the House that as per Loss Assessment Report submitted by Deputy Commissioner Leh the loss to the Agriculture/Horticulture crop has been assessed to the tune of Rs 9137720 besides 4182 kanals of land has been washed away due to the flash floods.
