Restoration, construction of Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge started: Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari

Minister for Public Works (R&B), Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said that Sher-e-Kashmir Bridge was damaged during the last flash floods in September 2014 and funds have already been provide for the restoration and construction of the new extension bridge.The Minister said this while replying to a question by Yashpal Sharma in the Legislative Council today. He said tenders were invited but due to the court case allotment remained suspended for a period of 8 months. He further said that after directions of the High Court work has been allotted and also started.The Minister said that the work is expected to be completed during the current financial year.Ali Mohammad Dar and Jugal Kishore raised supplementaries to the main question.
