Vaccination drive to be launched in Baramulla, DDC reviews arrangements

Stressing upon the concerned officers of the Health department to implement the programme “Indradhanush” effectively in the district, District development Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal today chaired a meeting of the officers of Health department to discuss the implementation of the scheme.The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Baramulla, Dy. CMO, Programme Officer ICDS and Block Medical officers.It was given out that the scheme Indradhanush is mainly focused upon the systematic immunization drive that will be carried through a “catch-up” campaign mode where the aim is to cover all the children who have been left out or missed out for immunization. Campaigns will be organised across the district to cover all the left out and partially vaccinated children. It was informed that the focus will be upon the vaccination programme carried against seven vaccine preventable diseases.Meanwhile, the Officers were directed to work in a coordinated manner and ensure that ICDS scheme is run in close coordination with the schemes of the health department.
