Naresh reviews functioning of Floriculture Department

The Departmental Related Standing Committee (DRSC)-IVof Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council held its meeting under the Chairmanship of MLC, Mr. Naresh Kumar Gupta and reviewed the functioning of Floriculture Department.Legislators, Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Mr. JehangirHussain Mir and Mr. Ghulam NabiMonga were present in the meeting.The Committee recommended that the parks which are being maintained by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank both in Jammu Srinagar be brought back and put on PPP mode to generate income for the department.The Committee recommended refrigerated plantation transport van be provided to the small growers of Dada, Udhampur and Poonch.The Committee directed the officers that parks in Jammu city should renamed area wise and a list in this regard should be displayed in area about the numbers of parks.Other issues related to the Floriculture department were also discussed in the meeting.Director Floriculture, Jammu, Mr. K K Sharma, Director Floriculture Kashmir, Mr. Sunil Misri and other officers of concerned department and Council Secretariat, were present the meeting.
