Member Parliament from Bathinda Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal today lashed at the Congress led UPA Government for its sheer failure at all fronts including power, controlling inflation and corruption and said that Congress would be taken to task in the ensuing Monsoon Session.Talking to media persons after paying tributes to great martyr Shaheed Udham Singh here, Mrs. Badal said that it was the result of ill-managed strategies of Congress led UPA Government that the people of seven states were suffering from power crisis while the farmers of the Punjab are forced to bear additional cost of diesel in order to deficient monsoon. She said that in present sky-rocketing days, Union Government has not announce any relief package for the peasantry of the state whereas state government has demanded an immediate relief of Rs. 800 crore for the farmers besides 1000MW power from the central pool. Answering a query of media person said that SAD-BJP coalition and the other ally parties would take the Congress to task in the ensuing monsoon session on public issues including hike in petrol prices on weekly basis, unprecedented inflation, corruption, power crisis etc. Mrs. Badal said that within two months after formation of UPA Government, it had engulfed in the cases of corruption and the recent reports revealed alleged corruption of more than Rs. 500 crore by the Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran and his allies was an indelible scar on the face of congress led UPA government.  Mrs. Badal said that Congress would have to face the wrath of people in ensuing 2014 Parliamentary election besides it would be called on the carpet in Monsoon session on such issues of corruption, poverty and inflation.During her to the villages Hakamwala, Ahmedpur and Dhalewa to review the status of sewing centers especially setup under ‘Nanhi Chaan’ campaign people brought her attention towards the under construction water works, Mrs. Badal on the spot directed the Deputy Commissioner regarding commissioning of the project. Amit Dhaka, Deputy Commissioner, Mansa said that the completion of the project was on the edge and it will become functional by August 18. She also distributed sewing machines to the needy girls besides sapling plants in these villages ensuring the supply of pure drinking water. Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion, Chattin Singh Samaon, MLA, Harpreet Singh, SSP, District President SAD unit Harbant Singh Dattewas, Naib Tehsildar Harkirat Singh.
