Verka celebrated “World School Milk Day”

verkacelebrated “World School Milk day” with students of Ryan International. It organized a plant visit for the students to educate them about the milk processing. The students also participated in the drawing competition to mark the day. The theme of the competition was "Milk- a glassful of health". Three winners won gift hampers from verka.World School Milk Day is celebrated on the last Wednesday in September. Over 40 countries around the world celebrate World School Milk day to celebrate the health benefits of school milk programs. Speaking on the Occasion, Mr. J.K Gupta, General Manager, Mohali plant, verkaSaid, and “Schools play an important role in inculcating healthy habits in the students. All schools should start milk programs to encourage milk consumption in the students. If young children to encouraged to makemilk a part of their diet, then they are likely to continue it in adulthood.Milk is rich in calcium, protein and vitamin D which help in child’s growing bones and teeth.”
