DC Baramulla holds Public Darbar at Uri

The District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, G. A. Khawaja held an Awami Darbar at border Tehsil Uri to make an on spot assessment of public grievances and their developmental needs including water, electricity, road connectivity, health care facilities and availability of essentials.The District Development Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the people and assured them that their genuine problems and demands would be addressed in a phased manner. He urged the officers to make adequate arrangements for redressal of public grievances. He warned them that any laxity in this regard would not be tolerated. He asked the CA&PD department and Gas Agencies to ensure home delivery of LPG in the area. He also directed the R&B authorities to repair link roads in the area besides taking steps for augmentation of drainage system.A number of public delegations interacted with the District Development Commissioner and made him aware of their problems.Sub pisional Magistrate, Uri and Sub pisional Police Officer, concerned officers of the district administration and a sizeable number of people were also present on the occasion.
