Taj visits M. A. Stadium, Jammu: Basketball courts, skating ring to be ready within 10 days

Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Taj Mohi ud Din this morning visited M. A. Stadium Jammu and took stock of the works under execution there. He went round several units of the stadium and reviewed the progress of works there.The Minister directed that speed roller skating ring at the stadium be made functional within ten days. He also visited the Mechanical room and water analysis laboratory and directed immediate repairing of the filtration plant. He was told that the swimming pool would be ready by March 2014.

Mr. Taj also went round both the synthetic and normal basketball courts which, he was told, would be ready within ten days. He also visited the two-storeyed  indoor sports complex. He was told that work on the Rs. Seven crore complex comprising a bigger hall and another multipurpose hall is apace.The Minister also inspected the main pavilion of the sports stadium. He also visited the central pavilion and directed that seating and ceiling arrangements be made there and also thrust be laid on raising the greenery on the ground.Mr. Taj also inspected the Kabbadi ground at the stadium which is being raised at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh. He asked the engineers to complete all works at the stadium so that the players in particular and youth in general get the benefits instantly.
