DC reviews Eid-ul-Azha arrangements

Deputy Commissioner Doda, Bhupinder Kumar, today reviewed the arrangements for Eid-ul-Azha in a meeting of officers and prominent citizens besides representatives of Beopar Mandel.The DC directed the Tehsildar to further intensify market inspections to keep a strict vigil over profiteering, black-marketing, quality and hoarding of essential commodities in the market. He said that sufficient mutton besides live sheep and goats will be made available in the market at the rates fixed by the administration.The DC asked the Executive Engineer PHE to ensure supply of safe drinking water at Eidgah, town and rural areas besides plugging in the leakages in pipes across the district.He asked Deputy Superintendent of Police traffic to regulate traffic movement in and around the Eidgah on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Azha.SSP Doda, Z. N Manhas, ADC Doda Mohd Hanief Malik, Chief Planning Officer Doda, Y S Katoch, and ACD Doda Susheel Kumar, besides Tehsildar Doda, President Beopar Mandel and Butcher Association Doda were also present in the meeting.
