Bali Bhagat launches Public Information Campaign at Batote

Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Bali Bhagat inaugurated a three-day Public Information Campaign (PIC) at Higher Secondary School Batote.The programme, being organised by the Press Information Bureau, Government of India, Jammu is aimed at disseminating information regarding various policies and programmes as incorporated in various flagship initiatives of the Central Government at grass-root levels.Minister along with MLA Ramban Neelam Kumar Langeh, inspected the DAVP photo exhibition and various   stalls displayed by the different departments.District and sectoral officer of different departments, PRIs and large number of locals besides student community attended the programme.The three day event is being organized in coordination with district administration Ramban and media units of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India viz. Directorate of Field Publicity, Song & Drama Division, DAVP, Doordarshan, All India Radio. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister asked the participating departments to focus on imparting awareness viz-a-viz PMs Jan Dhan Yojana, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Atal Pension Yojana and State Sponsored Ladli Beti etc  so that the benefits could reach to the targeted beneficiaries at the gross root level. He exhorted upon the people to save forests for protecting life on the earth.While addressing the gathering,  MLA Ramban impressed upon Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Sericulture and other line departments to hold such type of  awareness camps in future for improving the per capita income of the Ramban district.The representatives of different departments like Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Horticulture, Agriculture, Sericulture, Banks, Handicrafts, Handlooms and Social Welfare interacted with the audience and informed them about the schemes and the benefits thereof.Artists of Song and Drama Division and students of  host school presented a colourful cultural programme which left the audience spell-bound.
