Better, upgraded road connectivity priority of Govt: Bali Bhagat

Asserting that road connectivity being the vital aspect of communication forms priority in the basic development scenario of the state, Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Bali Bhagat today said that focused attention is being accorded to upgrade the existing road infrastructure and also start new projects in the neglected areas.The Minister soon after inaugurating the re-surfacing, macadamization work on road from irrigation bund near Nikki Tawi to village  Khandwal here today, apprised that during the past six months unprecedented development has been witnessed in the three regions of the state. He said that during this small period several projects pertaining in R&B, PHE, Irrigation, Education, Health and Forest sectors have been taken in hand. He asked the executing agencies to make optimum use of funds and complete the projects within fixed time frame. He urged the people to personally monitor the works being executed in their respective areas.

Bali said that the government was laying special emphasis on construction, upgradation and maintenance of roads in the state as the economy of the state largely depends on road communications. He said that a number of Motorable roads and bridges have been completed in the financial year while as work on various links and bridges would be taken up into hand under NABARD to ensure road connectivity to left out habitations of rural areas.Bali said that it is an endeavour of the PDP-BJP government to create better infrastructural facilities and working environment in all the government departments enabling the officers and field functionaries.Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) and concerned engineers, senior officers, sarpanchs and panchs were also present on the occasion.
