Bali Bhagat launches work of 21 mtrs span bridge on Janipur- Amb Ghrota road

Says provision of better roads, civic amenities in rural area govt's top priority

Minister for Forest, Environment, Ecology and Social Welfare, Bali Bhagat today launched the construction work of 2 lane 21.0m Span RCC T-beam Bridge on Janipur- Amb Ghrota road.The bridge project is estimated to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.06 crore.After launching the construction work of bridge, the Minister described Janipur- Amb Ghrota road as vital    link which connects hilly and far-flung villages with the winter capital. He said that after construction of this bridge the people of Akhnoor Tehsil and about 20 major villages will be benefitted, which include Mathwar, Kanjali, Rabita, Derra Baba, Ghorda, Dhannu, Maira Mandran, Kotli, Sarote, Aghore, Ranjan, Jandial, Amb Gharota, Gharota, Seri-Panditan, Chak Bhalwal and Dhar Darochan etc. Listing various development projects taken up in the Raipur-Domana Constituency, Bali Bhagat said that a massive road network is being developed to accelerate economic activities in the remote areas of this part of the state. He reiterated that the government was paying special focus on improving basic amenities in rural areas.

He directed the officers to involve Panches and Sarpanches in the implementation of various schemes and work in close coordination with them. This he said will help in attaining need based development. He also appealed the people to extend full cooperation to the government agencies for effective implementation of development programmes. He asked the executing agencies PWD(R&B) department to complete the span bridge with in stipulated time frame and ensure use of quality material in the construction.On the occasion, the Minister was also informed that the work on Keran (Ban Talab)-Baran 8 km road is being constructed under CRF Phase-1 at an estimated cost of Rs.16 crore. The Minister directed the concerned authorities to expedite the work on all projects to complete these in stipulated time frame.Mr. Bali said government is committed to develop every corner of the State on modern lines and achieve the set targets of economic growth and development. He said another major focus of the government is to provide good governance for effective implementation of various welfare programmes.The Minister also visited Doomi, Mishriwala, Kullein, Domana, Paloura, Baba Sidh Goria Devsthan and inspected various development works in these areas.Superintendent Engineer (R&B) PWD,  S. P. Manhas, Executive Engineer PWD,   Utter Kumar Sharma, Sr. Engineers and officers, Sarpanches and Panches were also present.
