Speaker inaugurates Sangam Primary Health Centre

The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mubarak Gul inaugurated Sangam Primary Health Centre constructed at a total cost of Rs. 1.57 crore in Eidgah constituency today. The Speaker dedicated the Health Centre to Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his birth anniversary being observed on December 5, 2013.The Speaker was informed that the Health Centre is equipped with latest diagnostic equipments besides having a special ward for female patients’ alongwith immunisation and ambulance facilities. The Health Institution would cater the health care needs of locals of adjacent villages.Later, Mr. Gul while addressing a public gathering said that Article 370 is a bridge between Central Government and Jammu and Kashmir State which ensures special status to the state. He said that some vested interests are trying to weaken this bond but their designs would not be allowed to succeed. He said that present coalition government is striving to ensure development of Eidgah Constituency. He said a number of development projects are underway while a number of projects have been completed.Gul said that the steps are being taken for beautification of Anchar Lake to make it attractive for tourists. He said that government is making every effort to provide basic amenities to the people. He said that special focus is being given to health and education sectors in the state and for this purpose 750 vacant posts of doctors are being filled. Gul was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah and other concerned officers.
