"BIG KASHMIR MARATHON" Aasiya Andrabi dismissed the Police version

Police on Sunday issued a press release alleging that eve teasing and molestation incidents took place during Kashmir Marathon event at Hazratbal.Dismissing the police version about the protests in the Kashmir University, where a marathon was going to be launched, Dukhtaran e Millat president Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi has said that India and its local stooges are trying to divert the attention from the embarrassment they faced. She congratulated the youth and said that they made whole nation proud.In a statement issued here today she said that the organizers of the so called marathon had not made it clear that they have invited many Indian’s to the event and the real aim was to give a notion that all is well in Kashmir and the land belonged to India.She said that on seeing many Indians participating in the program and the real aim of the program getting exposed the youth couldn’t tolerate it all and rightly protested and punctured the ill intentioned plan. 

“It was embracing for India and its local stooges to see the youth chanting pro Pakistan slogans and hoisting of Pakistan flag” she said and added “they had planned it in big way, wide publicity was given to the event however the freedom loving youth punctured the whole plan, embarrassed the occupier and made the nation proud”. Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi further said “more important and  embarrassing , for India, is the fact that the protest was not initiated or led by any resistance leader but it was all about youth”. She said that India should take a message that Kashmiri youth are conscious about the things and they have decided to chase India out of Jammu Kashmir.Ridiculing the police for a concocted story Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi said “Police are actually trying to divert the attention from the issue that Kashmiri’s want freedom from India and the embarrassment India and its stooges had to face, and that is why a baseless story has been carved and produced as the reason of what happened at the marathon site”. 

She said that hoisting of Pakistan flag, chanting freedom slogans and eve teasing, as claimed by the police, has no similarity and not even an insane will subscribe to this theory. She said that majority of the protestors were highly qualified youth and they not only knew their responsibility but attended to it appropriately for which they need to be congratulated. Dukhtaran e Millat President said that India is trying to engage Kashmiri youth on different names like culture, environment, development, good health and all that but Kashmiri people are not so naïve that they couldn’t smell the real intentions behind the things. She said that Kashmiri’s know how to pull on and those who have been and are still killings our children need not to pretend as our well wishers. “How is it relevant to give us lectures on good health when we are not allowed to live and breathe freely” she questioned and cautioned India to stop its dirty games and end the illegal and forcible occupation of Jammu Kashmir.
