MLA Langate and president Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) Er Rasheed has warned RSS and other Hindu right wing organisations not to patronise fascist and anti Muslim agenda in Jammu and Kashmir and accused coalition government of providing them base for anti Muslim activities in the state.According to a statement issued to KNS, addressing a religious gathering at a Darul Uloom at Shirhama in Handwara today Er Rasheed said that Kashmiris can wait for resolution of political and developmental issues but cannot tolerate interference in their religious affairs. He said “All that what is happening in the streets of Kashmir since last three days is a loud and clear massage for GoI that it should not put its nose in every issue and stop dictating terms to Kashmiris. Kashmiris as a society are tolerant and liberal but not at the cost of their own religious and other rights.

The current government is acting like a carrier of fatal evils, New Delhi wants to spread in Kashmir. The least PDP could have done would have been that it should have sacked the advocate who happens to be additional advocate general nominated by current government and has shamelessly moved the PIL seeking ban on slaughtering the bovine animals. But the way PDP has maintained criminal silence over the role of the petitioner is shameful and it has hurt even own cadres of PDP.”Er Rasheed further said that the incidents which took place during the Big Marathon in Srinagar today should act as an eye opener for all those who often claim that whatsoever is happening in Kashmir is creation of Pakistan and Kashmiris are fed up with all that what is happening in Kashmir. The resentment shown by youth today during the race is a clear cut massage that Kashmir issue is nether about giving job packages to youth nor focusing on curbing voice of few allegedly anti India persons. Arrival of few hundred tourists or holding any cultural or sports event in Kashmir not be equated with situation having returned normal in Kashmir as if Kashmiris have forgotten resolution of Kashmir dispute.Er Rasheed asked religious clerks present at the gathering to show unity and ensure that Kashmiris do not get divided on sectarian lines.
