Seminar on re-verification of Ration Card held at Baramulla

DDC stresses on coverage of any left out families

Setting up a time limit of 4 days for the field staff committees to cover any left out families under the Ration-card survey, District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal impressed upon all the concerned committees to complete the re-verification of ration cards on war footing to provide immediate benefit to the people.She impressed upon all the officers that the duplications and deficiencies must be corrected on a fast track basis.

The DDC was speaking at a Seminar organized at Dak Bungalow Baramulla, in which all field staff members of Revenue, CA&PD and Rural Development Departments participated. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Development and all Sub-Divisional Magistrates were present on the occasion.On spot verification of the complaints and representations received from general public regarding the BPL survey was also carried out on the occasion.

A thorough discussion was held regarding the re-verification of the Ration cards in the district during the seminar and necessary instructions were given to the field staff. Many queries were raised on this occasion, the clarification of which was given on the spot. It was also given out that the already notified instructions must be kept in focus while performing the re-verification. The Committees were impressed upon to discuss the process so as to avoid  any confusion.
