‘Cheating’ flood-victims:Vigilance registers case against Patwari

Vigilance has registered a case against a Revenue official for allegedly duping scores of flood victims from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.Reports said that the flood hit victims from Soibugh area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district in a complaint to Vigilance Organization alleged that Patwari Soibugh after preparing a list of 78 flood hit victims forwarded the list of only 23 persons. The flood hit victims who found their names missing in fully-damaged category told CNS that in a bid to benefit himself the said Patwari concealed the original record of 55 flood hit victims. Confirming that they have received a complaint against the Patwari, an official from Vigilance Organization Kashmir told CNS that investigation is going on and they have already seized the official documents pertaining to Patwari office.
