Mian Altaf chairs PAC meeting

A meeting of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held today under the Chairmanship of MLA, Mian Altaf Ahmad to discuss different issues pertaining to the Sheep and Animal Husbandry Departments.Legislators, Mr. Mohammad Khalil Bandh, Mr. M. Y. Tarigami, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi and Mr. Zaffar Iqbal Manhas attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions.During discussion, the committee took serious note of unplanned implementation of project for import of semen of elite animals that resulted in blockade of Rs 50 lakh of the concerned department for over two years besides objectives of the project could not be achieved.Secretary Animal/sheep Husbandry department, Director Animal Husbandry, Kashmir/Jammu and Director Sheep Husbandry Kashmir/Jammu were also present in the meeting.
