DC Kathua visits Basohli , Inspects health centres, schools and government offices

Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Ramesh Kumar today conducted an extensive tour of tehsil Basohli where he held an introductory meeting with sub division, tehsil and sectoral level officers  and inspected schools, hospitals and government offices DC held detailed review of ongoing projects and schemes under core sectors.Taking review of education sector, the DC asked the ZEOs to furnish detailed data of under construction schools buildings under RMSA/SSA schemes in Basohli, He asked the ZEOs to closely monitor the performance of all schools.The ZEOs were asked to submit fortnightly report of activities to concerned SDM/CEO for further submission. The DC further called for regular checking of mid day meals in the schools.  

DC directed Works Department to complete the work on all under construction school buildings within three months, while PHE department was directed to submit report on existing and ongoing water supply schemes. The department of CA&PD was asked to ensure proper display of rates/stock and distribution schedule on all the Ration Depots/ Fair price shops in the tehsil.The DC asked Muncipal Committee (MC) Basohli to repair streetlights and maintain cleanliness in the township. He further asked to Social Forestry department to plant saplings in Schools, CFCs, Model Higher Secondary School Basohli and other identified places to encourage clean environment. Flood Control department was directed to submit pending proposal to DC office.   

The DC exhorted upon the concerned functionaries to complete the ongoing projects and schemes within the stipulated time as funds allotted under the district plan have been already released to all the departments.Earlier the DC inspected Community Health Centre (CHC) Basohli and took stock of medical care facilities.   He inspected OPD, wards and blood bank and interacted with patients and attendants.Later the DC inspected Primary School Kudera and model higher secondary school Basohli.During the visit DC also met various deputations of people who projected their demands for consideration of the district administration. The SSP Kathua Neevan Jain, SDM Basohli Gurmukh Singh, Tehsildar Basohli Samrinder Singh Jamwal, XEN PWD XEN PDD, AEE PHE, Principal Hr. Secondary School, Principal DIET, ZEOs, Collector Thein Dam, EO Municipality, AEE Irrigation,  AEE Flood Control , SHO Basohli, BVO Basohli attended the meeting .
