Leaderless, visionless congress on its ‘political end-Bikram Singh Majithia

Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Thursday took potshots at Punjab Congress and said that whosoever will take over as chief of state Congress, he or she will not be able to complete even a year on this post as the Congress not only in Punjab but also in the country was fast heading towards its ‘political end’.While interacting with media persons here after laying foundation stones at different villages for Pucca Paths to Deras and distribution of grants for development purposes, Mr. Majithia said that Congress has become a leaderless, visionless party that’s why its national leadership was already cornered by the electorates and now All India Congress Committee chief Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Congress Vice President Mr. Rahul Gandhi were facing severe leadership challenges.  He said the present condition of Congress in the country was the very fact that this anti-poor, anti-farmers party was on its ‘political death bed’.

Answering to a query regarding local MP Captain Amarinder Singh, Mr. Majithia said that long absentee from Amritsar and Lok Sabha had betrayed the people of Amritsar for which he have to pay in ensuing 2017 polls. He said that Mr. Pratap Singh Bajwa and Captain Amarinder Singh have no concern with the rights, issues and interests of common masses as well as Punjab they both were busy in high scale infighting to grab the post of PPCC chief. He said that electorates of Punjab were eagerly waiting for 2017 elections to teach a lesson to this anti-state party.Lashing out at Aam Aadmi Party, Mr. Majithia said that the own house of this ‘so called’  Aam Aadmi Party was not out of order, how they could be able to form or run a government. He said that the infighting within the party was taking place on higher level with then leveled by its Patiala MP Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi and Fatehgarh Sahib MP Harinder Singh Khalsa against the dictatorial attitude of Party supremo Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. He said that 2017 polls were not so far when the Congress and AAP will witness the realty with unprecedented victory of ruling alliance. 

Earlier addressing gatherings at villages including Panwan, Ghanshampura, Nath Dee Khuhi,  Arjan Manga and Majitha, the Minister reiterated his vision to develop Majitha as a model constituency with record developments. He distributed grants worth Rs. 57 lakhs for various development purposes besides announcing that by the mid of next year all kacha paths leading to deras adjoining villages will be turned into Pucca Paths.Meanwhile, he also blessed the 28 couples during a mass wedding program organized by Councillor Nanak Singh at Majitha Mandi.Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included Mr. Shivcharan Singh Shivi, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Goldi, Prof. Sarchand Singh and senior leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal.
