In order to take stock of the problems and demands of the people, District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat convened a public grievance redressal camp at Darhal today.ADDC, Rajouri ,Veer Jee Hangloo , SSP Haseeb Mughal,ACD Noor Alam, Tehsildar Aamir Rather, and senior Officers of various department were present on the occasion .Sarpanchs, Panchs and people of the area apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various problems being faced by them which included scarcity of drinking water and unscheduled power cuts. They projected demand for upgradation of health care facilities , adequate teaching staff in schools ,macadamization of roads, installation of electric poles and streamlining functioning of field staff.
After giving patient hearing to the problems and demands of the representatives of the area, DDC issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for their time bound redressal.He asked the concerned officers to mitigate the problems of the people and work with zeal and honesty to bring efficiency in the system. He directed them to organise awareness camp to make people aware about the benefits of various welfare schemes. He directed ADDC to prepare a duty roaster for district officers to ensure their weekly visit to far off and remote areas for early redressal of people's grievances and to also to check the punctuality of the field functionaries .He appealed to people to extend cooperation in smooth execution of various development projects being executed in their area.The DDC also visited sub district hospital and new tehsil complex under construction and directed the concerned to expedite the construction work.
