Minister of State for Education Feroz Ahmad Khan today visited various examination centres including Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Satwari, Govt. Girls Hr.Sec School Miran Sahib and Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar where he inspected the arrangements put in place by the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (BOSE) for 12th class bi-annual private examination in Jammu pision.The Minister went round the rooms at each centre and found the students taking exams of Maths paper in a free and congenial atmosphere.On the occasion, the Minister was briefed about the elaborate arrangements made for smooth conduct of exams and trained supervisory staff deployed on duty.

During the inspection, the Minister also took stock of the functioning of these institutions and received brief from respective Principals.

Principal Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar, Mrs. Fareeda Javed briefed the Minister about the facilities and working in the institute. She said that the institution has a roll of 1100 students for which 76 lecturers, masters are posted. She further informed that almost all streams are taught in the school and results are encouraging.Interacting with the teaching staff at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec School Miran Sahib and Hr. Sec. School Shastri Nagar, the Minister stressed on imbibing moral education among the students besides routine academic and physical education.Secretary, BOSE, Jammu, and other officers also accompanied the Minister.
