Minister for Revenue, Javed Mustafa Mir today chaired a high-level meeting to review the status of the construction work on the 4-lane National Highway. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Deputy Project Director NHAI, Project Director RAMKY, Project Director NAVYUG, ADC, ACR and other concerned officers.The Minister stressed on the need for expediting the land acquisition processes and compensation of the dismantled structures so that timely completion of national highway is ensured. He asked the concerned officers to complete all the requisite formalities by 10th of September, 2015 so that all the roadblocks are cleared in one go. He also impressed upon the NHAI, RAMKY, NAVYUG agencies to effectively coordinate with each other.The Minister also asked the concerned departments to demolish the structures in Chek Wangund, Suransoo, Levdoora Laram and Charsoo within seven days. Besides, he also emphasized on acquisition process of 56 Kanals of land at Kangi Gund.Earlier, Deputy Commissioners gave a detailed account of the progress made so far on the 4-lane National Highway. The bottlenecks at Chursoo Mosque, Lethpora, Chek Wangund, Saransoo Shampora, Kregam, Levdoora, Nipora, Bumthan, Laram Ganjipora and other areas came under the discussion.
