District  Development  Commissioner,  Rajouri , Shabir Ahmed Bhat today conducted  surprise inspection  of  ongoing developmental works,  schools,  government  offices and health  centres  to  check  the quality of work going on at  such construction  sites  and  to inculcate  work culture  and  ensure  punctuality  of staff in government  institutions.The maiden inspection tour started with Ghambir Brahamana area where he inspected the   construction work on Baly Bridge.  The DDC exhorted upon the executing agencies to ensure that the works are completed within the stipulated time frame, as the bridge  is a single connecting link for number of adjacent  border villages with population above 15000.Afterward, the DDC paid   surprise visit to Government Higher secondary school, Manjakote  and review ongoing educational  activities  , which were found  satisfactory. He stressed upon the teachers to ensure that the children are provided quality education.   Meanwhile, the school authorities apprised the DDC about shortage of lecturers in school. 

Responding  to their problems  of staff shortage , the DDC  assured them that some temporary  arrangements will be made to provide  some alternate till the PSC makes  permanent  appointments.At PHC Manjakote, the DC interacted with the patients and enquired about the facilities being provided to them . While inspecting the construction work at PHC, he directed the executing agencies to expedite  the pace of work so that better  facilities  could be provided to locals and burden at the district  hospital  can be reduced.Taking tough stand on absenteeism at PHC Manjakote, the DDC directed the concerned to seek explanation from the absentees and be strict with them. 

The DDC also visited   tehsil office at Manjakote and checked the official record. He instructed the official that in case of any deviation  of the instructions, strict action  shall be taken under rules .Later on, the DDC visited the District  Hospital , Rajouri  and took on spot assessment  of the quality  of work. He directed the engineers of JKPCC to complete the furnishing work. He instructed the CMO for shifting into newly constructed block after the completion of remaining  work immediately  so that the people  of the area would  be able to get modern medicare  facilities. Shabir Ahmed Bhat directed the engineers of JKPCC  to complete  the remaining  construction work as early as possible  so that  the additional  block would  be dedicated  to the people  of the area.Enroute, the DDC also paid visit to the construction  site of Alternate  Abdullah  Bridge.He was accompanied by Additional  district  development Commissioner, Rajouri,Veer jee Hangloo  during the checking.
