Minister of State for Power, Industries and Commerce and Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Mir Thursday directed the officers of PHE to formulate the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for creating infrastructure including tools and maintenance for Water Supply Scheme (WSS) Harwan and submit the same to the concerned quarter so that the funds could be arrange for the purpose.This instruction was given by Minister while conducting extensive tour to various areas of Sonwar constituency. The Minister visited Shalimar, Harwan, Gandtal, Syedpora and Khimber villages and took stock of various developmental works under execution in these areas.
The Minister issued instructions to R&B department to conduct survey of road from Syed Rehman Sahib via Shalimar to Harwan garden and prepare a comprehensive plan for upgradation of the said road. He also asked them to prepare a DPR for road project from Darbagh to Rangil.The Minister also inspected under construction Medical Sub-Centre, Khimber and directed the executing agencies to speed up the pace of work on the building. He also asked them to prepare a plan for development of the premises of the Centre. He said Rs 8 lakh have already been released for the construction of the Health Centre. While visiting to Syedpora, Mr. Ashraf directed the concerned to construct a protection wall on Nallah Malore near Masjid Sharief. He also directed the R&B department to start construction of Rs. 1.80 crore link road from Syedapora to Sarabagh Gandtal.During inspection of ongoing construction of bridge on Scaledub Harwan, the Minister directed the R&B department to complete the said project within stipulated time frame. He also asked them to complete the ongoing construction work of Ayush Hospital Harwan by March 2016.
The Minister inspected WSS Gandtal and inquired about the ongoing project of Newtheed-Syedpora Darbagh water supply scheme. He was informed that three lakh gallon water reservoir is being constructed in the area for which land has been identified and Rs 10 Crore need for construction of dam storage.The Minister directed the concerned to start work on the project. He said it is long pending demand of Syedpora, Newtheed, Barji, Muftibagh, Darbagh and Murian Darbagh.
Interacting with the people at different places, the Minister said that Government led by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is committed to provide basic amenities to the people of the State.Referring to the development works under execution in Sonwar constituency, Mr. Mir Said that construction work on several macro and micro projects under different sectors is apace and on completion of these projects new changes will be seen in the area. He said efforts are afoot to make the Sonwar Constituency a model one in the State.
