Minister for Revenue, Javaid Mustafa Mir today directed officers to expedite process of land acquisition under various infra-structural projects and asked officers to maintain close coordination with NHAI and BRO, so that bottle-necks hampering the project implementation can be removed.This was stated by the Minister, while chairing a review meeting of Revenue officers at Deputy Commissioner Office, Srinagar.Minister of State for Revenue, Mr. Sunil Sharma, Commissioner Secretary Relief & Rehabilitation and Revenue Mr. Dheeraj Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar Dr Farooq A lone and other officers were also present in the meeting.Giving a strong message to revenue officials working in the field, Mr. Mir said that the action will be taken against all the corrupt and incompetent officers and directed the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, to prepare a list of such officers in the Revenue department.
The matter regarding flood relief to left over shopkeepers of Srinagar also came up during the meeting. Revenue Minister instructed for immediate verification of these left-over cases through the Revenue Officials.The Minister further stressed upon the Tehsildars to ensure that all Patwaris remain present at their respective Patwar Khanas atleast on two notified days in a week.While reviewing status of evacuation of encroached Kacharai and State land, DC Srinagar, apprised that 1796 Kanals have been evacuated so far. The Minister directed the authorities to accelerate the process.
