935 structures to be constructed at Bachidarwaza Sheikh Colony

Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar today reiterated that socio-economic upliftment of the poor and weaker sections of the society has been priorities by the present government. He said that every effort is being made to provide succor to the destitute and downtrodden members of the society, adding that rehabilitation of these people has already been initiated.This was stated by the Minister during an extensive visit of Khanyar constituency while interacting with deputations.Among others areas the Minister visited Tujgari Mohalla, Bachidarwaza, Sheikh Colony, Riyazat Teng, Rainawari and took stock of the grievances of the people. He directed the concerned officers accompanying to take the measures for early redress of the grievances.At Bachidarwaza, Sheikh Colony while interacting with the people, the Minister said that as many 935 structures on modern lines shall be constructed for the rehabilitation of down trodden people for which Rs. 46.75 crore shall be expended by J&K Housing Board while Rs. 11.80 crore shall be utilised for the road project for the colony. The Minister urged the officers to expedite the construction works to facilitate the people.
