On the other hand, poor and labour class is being fleeced for no wrong. In J&K, the government has closed the doors of dialogue while poor labour class that include Asha workers, small time traders, Anganwadi workers, casual labours and also the daily wagers,” he said.Tarigami said that the dismal scenario of social security benefits to the workers, rampant violation of labour laws, non-implementations of minimum wages act, and attacks on trade union rights have provided detrimental to the interests of working class.
“The frequent amendments to the labour laws have so far armed the employers further and this continuing process of fiddling with the rights of workers have deprived the working class who need coordinated efforts and a united resistance to safeguard their interests,” he said.He said we won’t get our rights by protests separately. “It is high time to unite against the injustice government is doing with the labour class and poor people,”Lashing out the PDP-BJP government he said. “The government here is accused previous governments of appointing people illegally. I want to ask them how many were provided jobs when they were in power with Congress from 2002 to 2008.There are no concrete employment policy with the government. I want to ask the government to reveal the actual number of unemployed youth in the State and the measures taken so far to deal with the problem,” (KNS)
