For the welfare of patients and improvement of infrastructure in the District Hospital, Minister of State, Finance and Information technology Pawan Kumar Gupta who is also the Chairman of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) today convened a meeting of Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti at District Hospital (DH) Udhampur.Gupta said that special attention should be given for sanitation and cleanliness in the hospital. He assured all possible help for the up-gradation of infrastructure and better services in the hospital so that people may not suffer. He gave necessary instruction to the concerned engineers to complete the work taken in hand without any compromise with the quality of work and also asked them to repair the leakage of roof. He instructed engineer of PWD to make detailed estimates project for pre-fabricated waiting shed for OPD patients and staff canteen.
The Minister approved the purchase of transport ventilator, installation of AC in trauma centre, underground bunching of power cable of the hospital premises, installation of iron dumpers for bio medical waste. The Minister also discussed the issues of new mortuary, implementation of NPHCE & National Programme for Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Stroke, Hypertension and CVD diseases, procurement of consumable, emergency drugs and equipment for emergency section.Other issues which were discussed in the meeting mainly include shortage of staff, up-gradation of OPD Services, laboratory and blood bank, X-ray, USG, CT Scan, operation theatres, emergency and casualty.Earlier, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, Dr. Chander Parkash gave a brief detail of progress and achievements made upto ending July, 2015 through power point presentation.Among others, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Arun Sharma, Programme Officer, ICDS, Krishan Lal, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Chander Parkash, Engineers of PWD, PHE & PDD, senior doctors, representatives of NGOs and other officers of different departments were present in the meeting.
