District administration appeals public to avail benefits of social security schemes

District Administration Udhampur has  appealed the public of the district  to avail  maximum benefit, by joining with any of the three  Govt social security  schemes viz. PMJJBY(Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bhima Yojna), PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bhima Yojna)  and APY(Atal Pension Yojna) by applying in any of the nearest Bank. Administration asked the people to be hurry and avail benefits from these Government schemes, to a greater extent for your future security.Under PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bhima Yojna), people will get Rs 2 lac insurance @ 330 Rs/annum, people between age 18 to 50 yrs can apply in any bank and this scheme covers death insurance due to any reason. Under PMSBY ( Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bhima Yojna), people will get Rs 2 lac insurance @ 12 Rs/annum ,people between age 18 to 70 yrs can apply in any bank and this scheme covers death insurance due to accident only.Under APY (Atal Pension Yojna), people can earn between Rs 1000 and Rs 5000 / month  depending upon their contribution ,people between age  18 to 40 yrs can apply in any bank. Period of contribution is for 20 yrs or more. Government can also contribute (50%) to Non-Income Tax payers for 5 yrs, who  will join scheme before 31st December, 2015.Prerequisite is  having saving bank account in any bank and Aadhar Number for enrollment in all the 3 schemes". The concerned BDO shall be nodal officer for the implementation of these social security schemes and people may contact their concerned BDO for more information and procedure for joining these schemes.
