Minister for Health and Medical Education, Ch. Lal Singh, today visited Government Medical College (GMC) hospital and enquired about the well beings of the persons who have been injured in border shelling from Pakistan at Balakote town of Poonch district.The Minister was accompanied by Principal Government College Hospital, Dr. Ghanshyam Dev Gupta and several other senior doctors.While interacting with the attendants of the admitted victims of Pak firing, the Minister assured them every possible help from the Government. He issued necessary directions to the GMC authorities to provide free healthcare treatment to the injured.

Later, the Minister visited various units of the GMCH and inspected the medicare facilities being provided to the patients. He directed the hospital administration to pay focused attention towards the sanitation in and around the hospital by pressing adequate number of safaikaramcharies into service. He also stressed upon the medicos to remain punctual to their duties and serve the patients with more zest and dedication. He also cautioned for ensuring proper dress Code by the doctors and para-medicos during the duty hours.
