Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated 11 district presidents for organizational purposes in Jammu province.In a statement issued here, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain, former legislator and political advisor to the party president, Ms. Mehbooba Mufti said the nominations were approved by party president in consultation with the senior leaders of the party and as per the party constitution yesterday in Jammu after a daylong party review meeting.
He said the party president will seek regular inputs from all the district presidents of the state about the status of strengthening the party base in their respective areas of jurisdiction. The nominations of district presidents, Mansoor said, are aimed at enhancing the organizational structure of the party and strengthening the cadre operations of the party at grassroots level. He said there would be positive changes and systemic delegation of organizational responsibilities to further strengthen the party in future.
The political advisor to PDP president said the party expects all the nominated presidents to work hard in order to strengthen the party base at grassroots level and thereby fulfil socio-economic aspirations of the people in their respective areas. Mansoor said various steps are being taken to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and there is a need that all the party units work in close contact with the party cadre in all the three regions of the State.He said the PDP is committed not to leave any stone unturned to take initiatives for the equitable development of all the three regions of the state in years to come. The political advisor to PDP president reiterated PDP’s commitment to work tirelessly for the welfare and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir under the guidance of party leadership.
Mansoor stressed on the need to nurture and follow party’s tradition, ethos and ideology in order to safeguard the rights and dignity of the people of the state.Those nominated for various districts of Jammu province include Mr. Shamim Dar for Poonch, Mr. Aijaz Mirza for Rajouri, Mr. Shahbul Haq for Doda, Hon’ble MLC Mr. Firdous Tak for Kishtwar, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Runyal for Ramban, Mr. Shafiq-ur-Rehman for Reasi, Mr. Hans Raj for Udhampur, Mr. Surinder Singh for Kathua, Dr. Harmesh Slathia for Samba, Mr. Faqir Chand Bhagat for Jammu Rural and Mr. Vinod Sharma for Jammu Urban.
