Army organized ‘Run for Peace’ in North Kashmir

Army said that in a bid to foster the spirit of brotherhood and peace, it organized an event in North Kashmir’s Qaziabad area of Langate Constituency.In a statement to CNS, Army said that a run for the youth was organised to promote importance of physical fitness and peace. “The theme for the run was ‘Race for Peace’.  The run was flagged off at Boys Secondary School, Hanga and finished at Boys Higher  Secondary School, Langate which was attended by more than four hundred students, teachers and elders. Subsequently, a Drawing Competition was also organised at Boys Higher Secondary School, Langate.The Drawing Competition was based on a theme- ‘Peace and Amity’. “Large number of students participated in the event and it was heartening to see their performance. The event was attended by large number of senior Army officers and civil dignitaries. The chief guest on the occasion was Brigadier AS Ranade, Commander 7 Sector RR who also distributed cash prizes among the winners. (CNS)
