The slogans of “Shiromani Akali Dal Jindabad” (Long live Shiromani Akali Dal) echoed all across the residence of party President Sukhbir Singh Badal at a party meeting where party kicks off election campaign for Delhi polls with a mission to attain clean sweep victory on all the four constituencies Rajauri Garden, Hari Nagar, Kalka ji and Shahadra. In the meeting, Badal assigned the campaign responsibilities to party leaders and workers, and chalk out plans to reach each and every voter of these constituencies. A comprehensive action plan was prepared to create awareness among voters about pro people policies of Shiromani Akali Dal–BJP alliance and to explicitly highlight the anti people activities of Shiela Dixit led Delhi Congress government.Giving a clarion call for clean sweep victory on all seats, Sukhbir Singh Badal motivated party leaders and workers to create new history. He said that Delhi was fedup of congress’ corruption and mismanagement and thus it was all set to put Congress party on mat in these polls. He said that Delhi polls provided opportunity for party to expand its base and on registering record victory in these elections party would consider putting up its candidates in Punjabi dominant areas of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. He said that a thumping victory on all four seats would encourage party to contest on more than 40 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Instructing party leaders and workers to strictly follow election code of conduct, Mr. Badal said that party would run its campaign in a disciplined way without giving anybody a chance to raise finger on any of its leader or worker. He said that Congress has seen its clear defeat written on wall so no leader or worker from Shiromani Akali Dal should give an opportunity to Congress leaders to spit their frustration.The office bearers of youth brigade of party also took part in the meeting under the leadership of President Youth Akali Dal Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia. The meeting was attended by party president for Delhi state Mr. Manjeet Singh GK and almost all the senior leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal from Punjab and Delhi besides party candidate from Rajaouri Garden Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Harmeet Singh Kalka from Kalkaji, Jitender Singh Shunty from Shahdara and Shyam Sharma from Hari Nagar.
