Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal today chaired a meeting of officers to review the preparedness of Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls. It was given out in the meeting that Election Commission of India has scheduled Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with January 01, 2016 as qualifying date.Various pre-revision activities like verification of existing polling stations, rationalization of polling stations, workshops with political parties, DLOs and BLOs to sensitize them regarding schedule of Summary Review, door to door visit of BLOs for registration of new voters, preparation of detailed action plan for SVEEP etc were threadbare discussed in the meeting.Additional Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the concerned officers to put all their efforts and accomplish the pre-revision activities within the stipulated time.Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, Sub Divisional Magistrate Kangan, Assistant Commissioner Development Ganderbal, Chief Education Officer Ganderbal, District Information Officer Ganderbal, Deputy Chief Education Officer Ganderbal and all Tehsildars of the district were present in the meeting.
