In wake of upcoming Independence Day celebrations DDC Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal today visited border villages of Bobia, Londi and Chakra to take stock of security arrangements in Hiranagar today.SDM Hiranagar Sohan Lal, SDPO Border, officers and officials of Flood Control accompanied the DDC during the visit.During his visit to forward posts of Bobiya and Londi, DDC held detail deliberations with BSF officers with regard to the current security scenario and preparedness of the forces. DDC called for a mechanism of coordination between Army, Police and BSF to tackle any threat.In his Visit to border village Chakra, DDC held meeting with Army officers and discussed the preparedness and arrangements to tackle any external threat especially in present scenario in view of Independence Day. DDC called for opting extra vigil and alert keeping in mind the past experiences.DDC also discussed the second line arrangements made by the Police, added that proper Nakas and frisking point shall be ensured in the entry and exit points of border villages.
