An FIR was registered against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Alka Lamba on Monday for allegedly vandalising some shops along with her party supporters during her anti-drugs drive on Sunday.Police filed the case a day after receiving seven complaints against Lamba by some shopkeepers and hawkers in north Delhi's Kashmere Gate area."We have registered an FIR against Alka Lamba on Monday following seven complaints made by some Kashmiri Gate shopkeepers and hawkers," Deputy Commissioner of Police Madhur Verma told IANS.Lamba, the legislator from Chandni Chowk constituency, has been booked under several Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections -- including disposal of property, mischief causing damage, assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty and obstructing public servant in discharging duty. She reportedly had a heated argument with some shopkeepers and hawkers in Kashmiri Gate over encroachment on the road and pavements.

Lamba suffered injuries after a teenager, worker at a sweet shop in the area Shiv Mishthan Bhandar hurled a stone at her. He was later arrested and sent to judicial custody.Hours after the incident, a CCTV clip went viral, showing Lamba and one of her supporters pushing the cash resister of the shop, allegedly owned by Bharatiya Janata Party legislator O.P. Sharma. The footage shows Lamba going to the cash counter of the shop and throwing away things.Clarifying the incident, Lamba on Monday said the CCTV footage actually shows the incident that took place after she was attacked."I lost my control when the shopkeeper even after seeing blood coming out of my forehead, said, 'You deserve this'. I just banged on the counter in retaliation and asked that the attacker be brought out of the shop. Vandalisation was not my intention," she told IANS.

Lamba questioned the whereabouts of the CCTV footage which would have also contained the shots of her being attacked."Where is the CCTV footage in which I was attacked? BJP and Delhi Police have not released the CCTV footage in which I was attacked. The available footage is from the BJP leader's shop where the stone-pelter was nabbed," she said."I have seen the footage too as you can see. I was attacked in the presence of police. No action was taken by them," Lamba said.
