Panic gripped in Bijbehara town of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district when government forces in a bid to neutralize two holed up militants fired indiscriminately.Police sources told CNS that after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in a local house located at Bijbehara’s Mehand village, Army, CRPF and SOG personnel jointly cordoned off the village. “The militants reportedly were present in the house of one Assadullah Wagay. After an exchange of fire, the militants managed to give a slip to the forces,” sources said.locals informed that ‘agitated’ forces detained the house owner Assadullah Wagay and his son Mudasar Ahmed Wagay. The forces also detained two youth Fayaz Ahmed and Rashid-ul-Hasan after they didn’t find any militant inside the house. “Mudasir was allegedly thrashed in full public glare and the trio were whisked away to some unknown destination for questioning,” said locals.
