Peoples Democratic Party Saturday said the sudden spurt of violence and disruption of peace in Valley was the “handiwork of all those powers” who have failed to gulp down the “popularity” of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as a chief minister among masses.Talking to KNS, PDP’s general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir said the government led by their party was working day and night to ensure peace returns to Valley and other parts of state. “If you see any spurt of violence at present or people complaining of deterioration of security situation, it is only a passing phase given the turbulent times witnesses during past 25 years,” he said.“You know, all powers that cannot digest the coming together of PDP and BJP are conspiring against this government to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in Valley,” Mir said without naming any political party. He said people should have faith in government and on the leadership of Mufti Sayeed. ‘Situation will improve towards good,” he said.
