District Development Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal today inspected various Government Establishments/ Offices and took stock of their functioning and cleanliness of the premises.The ADDC Kathua Manmohan Singh and DSWO Kathua accompanied the DDC during the inspection.During his visit to Gujjar hostel and Baal Ashram, the DDC issued strict directions to the management for maintaining cleanliness and hygienic atmosphere in and around the premises. He directed In-charge of Gujjar Hostel and Baal ashram to take utmost precautions to maintain proper hygiene while serving food and other eatables to the inmates. He asked them to spare some time for cleanliness. He also interacted with students residing in the hostel and asked about the facilities provided to them.
Later, the DDC visited Nari Niketan and enquired about the wellbeing of the inmates. Directions were also passed to the Nari Niketan administration to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen, rooms and outer compound.During his visit to Assistant Labour Commissioner Office, the DDC checked the attendance of the staff. He sought explanation of one absentee employee and withheld his salary. He directed ALC to ensure full attendance of the employees with special focus on punctuality.Later DDC also visited RTO office and called for weekly meeting with regard to the issuance of fresh permit cases. He also impressed upon the RTO to clear the pendency of permit cases on fast track basis.The DDC exhorted upon the RTO and ALC to plant saplings of ornamental plants in their compound.
