Lashing out at PDP president Mehbooba Mufti for what he called ‘sheepish silence over the repressive action of the government towards people’ National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah Wednesday said that same Mehbooba used to corner NC-Congress coalition government when we used to restrict the movement of the separatist leaders in the interest of public order but today she is silent despite the fact that separatist leaders are being locked up and youth are arrested on the one or the other pretext. “Where is Mehbooba Mufti now and why her government is silent now. Why she (Mehbooba) doesn’t utter a word,” Omar said during the membership drive of his party in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
He said that virtually Jammu and Kashmir State is being ruled by two Chief Ministers.

PDP has brought a slur on the fair name of State and he has no control over the government,” Omar said.Omar Abdullah according to CNS said that for the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, postings and transfers are being done on the basis of religion. “Muslims are not allowed to work in Jammu and in Kashmir Hindu’s are transferred to Jammu and Ladakh Division. Democracy and secularism have been dying their own deaths,” he said.
