District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz today convened a meeting to review the progress of road construction under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the district.The meeting was informed that out of the 76 schemes that have been taken up, 39 have been completed and an amount of 72.86 crore have been spent on them. It was also given out in the meeting that out of the 53 habitations that are being connected through PMGSY, 43 have been connected so far.The District Development Commissioner took a detailed review of all the individual schemes and stressed on completing the road projects within the stipulated time. He also directed Assistant Commissioner Revenue to speed up the process of land compensation to the land owners.Among others, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, Superintending Engineer R&B and Executive Engineer PMGSY were present in the meeting.
