A devastating landslide, caused by incessant rain aftermath of tropical cyclone Komen, claimed at least seven lives at Haspatalpara under Lama upazila in hill district Bandarban on Saturday.The dead were identified five-year old baby Sazzad Hossain, Fatema Akhter, 8, Futu, 10, Amena Begum, 35, Arafat Hossain, 15, Razina Akhter, 34 and Dulu Mia, 70.Of the dead, Dulu Mia and Arafat Hossain died after they were rescued alive from the debris landfall, said Khaled Mahmud, local administration.The landfall incident took place in the morning but the firefighters continued rescue operation in search of human till the afternoon.
