Farmers training cum awareness camp held at Bhalla

Department of Agriculture today organized a farmers training cum awareness camp here at village Malnai of Bhalla Block in which a large number of farmers of the Block participated.During the camp organized under the Kissan Jagriti Campaign the farmers were made aware of various schemes including RKVY, Technology mission, NAMSA & NMAET.The Chief Agriculture Officer Doda,   H. K Razdan gave detailed resume of the benefits provided under these schemes and asked the farmers to avail these.He also laid thrust on adopting diversified farming and asked the  farmers  to constitute Farmer interest groups, commodity interest groups and farmers self help group. He also gave a patient hearing to the problems projected by the farmers and assured them early redressal of all of their genuine demands.

M A Beig, District Agriculture Officer (Extension) Doda   advised the farmers to apply production recommendation techniques in the cultivation of crops provided to them by the field functionaries and get the soil of their land tested and use balanced doses of fertilizers and also adopt vermin compost technology.MDO, P. R Bhagat spoke about the mushroom cultivation, while   S.S Sheikh, SMS (ATMA) emphasized on the protected cultivation of the vegetable crops.Dr. Neeraj Kotwal, Jr. Scientist of RHRS Bhaderwah gave detailed lecture on the plant protection of general and vegetable crops. Sub Division Agriculture Officer Pranoo,   B.S Rana advised the farmers to adopt farm mechanization for easy farming operation and avail KCC scheme.Other officers who spoke on the occasion were   Khalid Sirwal (SCA),   R.K Raina (JAEO),   Yasir Tak (VAEA) and Rez’s  Sajid, S. S Baloria,   Navneet,   Shokat,   Rajesh etc.
